Spurs and Liverpool to battle for striker

January is already being planned be some Premier League clubs with Liverpool and Spurs set to do battle over the services of Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar.

Fiorentina has had a great start to the Serie A season and sit top of the table but according to talkSPORT Fiorentina are already resigned to losing the 22-year-old who has scored five goals in nine games this season.

It is reported that the Senegalese striker is keen on a move to the Premier League, Babacar has spent three seasons on loan since making his debut at the age of 16, he scored 20 goals in 41 appearance’s during his 2013 loan spell at Modena.

Spurs only have Harry Kane as the striker and would like to boost their firepower in the hope of pushing for a Champions League place. Spurs have also been linked with Genk striker Laurent Depoitre but it remains to be seen which of the striker spurs will go for.
