Mauricio Pochettino praised the impact of the substitutes he brought on during the victory against Anderlecht.
In the second-half, he replaced Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Ryan Mason with Son, Josh Onomah and Mousa Dembele, with all three substitutions involved in the build-up to the winning goal, before Dembele fired the ball into the top corner from outside of the penalty area.

Speaking after the game to Tottenham’s website, Pochettino said:
“Football is not easy, sometimes you have to suffer and it’s impossible to play well in every game,” said Mauricio. “On Monday we had a tough game against Aston Villa and it’s not easy to play every two days.”
“I’m very pleased with the effort. The way Anderlecht played put us in a difficult situation but the way we competed and showed character is the way we need to take and follow.”
“It was a fantastic goal from Mousa and I’m very pleased for him. The impact of Mousa, Sonny and Josh, this is what you expect when the players come from the bench.”
“Our objective before the game was to take the three points and to go top of the table.”
“But now we need to focus, there is no time to think too much because in two days we need to play the North London Derby and we know this is a very important game for us.”
