Inter Milan place bid for Mousa Dembele
Inter Milan have reportedly placed a €10m bid for Belgian midfielder Mousa Dembele, according to FCInterNews as cited by 101GreatGoals.
As per the report, Inter have submitted the bid following negotiations in North London on Friday (1st June), as Manager Mauricio Pochettino is willing to let the midfielder go given his age (30), injury record and his dwindling influence and impact on the Spurs team.
It is also understood that along with the €10m offered by the Italian giants, they are offering Dembele a four-year contract, but according to Corriere Dello Sport, Tottenham are unwilling to accept the offer as they want a fee in ‘the region of €30m’ – and this is something they are unwilling to change.
Given that his contract expires next summer, Spurs may need to cash in on the midfielder – to avoid him leaving on a free – amid this offer from Inter, but also due to more interest from a number of Italian and Chinese clubs.
