This weekend Spurs take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium, and I caught up with Read Swansea editor Declan Terry to ask him some questions ahead of the clash.
What’s your thoughts on Swansea’s start to the season?
It’s been steady. If you asked this question before the international break, I would have said it was a brilliant start to the season with wins against Manchester United and Newcastle, plus two away draws at Chelsea and Sunderland. However, a very disappointing loss to Watford, another against Hull in the Capital One Cup and last week’s loss to Southampton has put a big dampener on things. Now, we’ll be desperate to get back on track against Tottenham.
Who should Spurs be wary of on Sunday?
The duo of Bafetimbi Gomis and Andre Ayew are a real handful on their day. They both link up very well, and as seen against our win over Manchester United, they are real game-changers.

Who has been your best Swansea player so far this season?
Bafetimbi Gomis has been the main man for Swansea I think. After we sold Wilfried Bony in January, Gomis has come in and has become a real handful for any defence. His goal record from March onwards has been very pleasing too.

If you could take 1 Spurs player and add him to your squad, who would it be and why?
Despite me singing Bafetimbi Gomis’ praises, I’d happily take Harry Kane at Swansea. He’s a top young player, and after a truly outstanding season in 2014/15 he has become one of the Premier League’s most lethal strikers. Although this season hasn’t taken off as well as last campaign, I’m sure Kane will get into the swing of things after his goal against Man City last weekend.

What do you think of Spurs start to the season?
At first I thought there may be some worrying signs for Spurs fans, with a pretty lacklustre start. However, after picking up a few wins on the bounce now, I’m positive that Spurs can kick on and progress under Mauricio Pochettino. The Tottenham squad is looking very impressive too, with Kane, Lloris, Dier, Lamela, Son and, of course, former Swansea left-back Ben Davies all top players.

What should we expect from Swansea on Sunday?
Even I don’t know what to expect from Swansea anymore, so I haven’t got a definite answer! What I’m hoping for is a performance that we can use as a platform to get back on track after the international break. If we are well motivated, you should expect us to try and control the game and we’ll try to exploit the wings with Andre Ayew and Jefferson Montero definite attacking assets for the Swans. Although, if we continue the type of performance that has been shown of late, you’re in for an easy ride.

And finally what do you think the score will be?
I think Swansea will show much more of a fight, and they’ll be up for maintaining our unbeaten home record. But, I think the confidence might be a little low in the camp now and then Spurs will just have enough to overcome us. I’ll go for 2-1 Spurs.
Massive thank you to Declan Terry for his time.
