Match Report: Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace

Tottenham left White Hart Lane with their first home league win of the season, after beating Crystal Palace 1-0.

The winner came half way through the second half, as Son collected a through ball from Eriksen, who himself was substituted on after recovering from injury and he managed to squeeze the ball under the Crystal Palace goalkeeper to give Spurs the lead and ultimately the victory.

However, it was not as easy as it sounds for Tottenham, as Cabaye hit the post for Palace just before half time and moments before Tottenham took the lead, Bakary Sako made Hugo Lloris produce a fine save and stop a certain goal for Crystal Palace.

The game also saw Harry Kane extend his barren run in front of goal, which now stands at seven games for Tottenham. However, early on in the first half, he had a golden chance to end the barren run but he could only head over from Eric Lamela’s pin point corner.

Dele Alli continued his great start to the season as he provided Spurs’ creative outlet until Eriksen was introduced into the game in the second half and Eriksen himself impressed as he provided Son with the assist and showed just how much Spurs missed him whilst he was out.
