Hugo Lloris captained France to victory in his final game before returning to Tottenham on Monday night, as Les Blues overcame Serbia 2-1 in a friendly on Monday night as their preparations for Euro 2016 continue.
The outing was Lloris’ second of the international break, after he kept a clean sheet and captained his team to victory in Portugal last Friday night.
Also involved in International action were England U-21 duo Eric Dier and Dele Alli. The former played through the full 90 minutes whilst centre midfielder Alli came through one half as the Young Lions won 1-0 in Norway.
Dier will now be hoping to continue his form in the defensive midfield position in which he has played so far this season for Spurs, whilst Alli, will be hoping to nail down a first-team spot in the coming weeks after impressing so far this season with Spurs and the U-21’s.
Although Christian Eriksen was not in action, Denmark kept their chances of qualifying for Euro 2016 alive as they drew 0-0 with Armenia. Morton Olsen’s side lie second in Group I with one game left, a single point ahead of third-placed Albania, who have two games left.
