Davies’ Wales forced to wait for Euro spot

Ben Davies played the full ninety minutes as Wales were held 0-0 by Israel in Cardiff on Sunday evening.

Chris Coleman’s side would’ve sealed their spot at Euro 2016 with a win, but could not break down the stubborn vistors and must now wait to confirm their place at next year’s finals.

Bosnia-Herzogovina and Andorra await in their final two qualification matches, needing just one point from either game to seal their spot.

Wales look set to be joined in the top two places in Group B by Belgium, who claimed an important 1-0 win at Cyprus.

Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen played the whole game, but Moussa Dembele was again an unused substitute for Marc Wilmot’s team, who will qualify with two points from their final two games.

They, too, face Andorra, before a match against Israel – the only other team able to ruin either side’s qualification chances.
