Lloris captains France to victory

Hugo Lloris captained France as they beat Portugal 1-0 in a friendly on Friday night.

The Spurs stopper played the full ninety minutes in Lisbon as Les Blues racked up their first win in three games thanks to Mathieu Valbuena’s late free-kick.

They will next face Serbia on Monday night, having already qualified for next summer’s European Championships as hosts.

Elsewhere, Christian Eriksen’s Denmark remain on course to qualify for next year’s final after a 0-0 draw with Albania.

The 23-year-old missed the game through injury and will also sit-out Monday’s crunch-game with Armenia.

Three more Spurs players are set for international action on Saturday with Harry Kane and Ryan Mason hoping to start for England against minnows San Marino.

The Three lions can seal qualification to Euro 2016 with a win, as can Austria, who are likely to give summer signing Kevin Wimmer some much-needed game time against Moldova.
