Tottenham Hotspur are contemplating ending their interest in Saido Berahino, according to the Daily Mail.
The club has had two bids for the West Brom attacker turned down, and officials will meet on Thursday to discuss whether to return with a fresh bid or, instead, pursue other targets.
Mauricio Pochettino is very keen on bringing the England U21 striker to White Hart Lane, but chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to pay what would be needed to complete the transfer and is getting increasingly frustrated at the Baggies’ tough stance over the deal.

The conclusion of Thursday’s meeting is likely to result in Spurs returning with one final bid next week, but whether it will be of a value that will persuades the Midlands club into letting go of their prized assett remains to be seen.
West Brom chairman Jeremy Pearce has reiterated at every possible opportunity that Berahino is not for sale, but it is thought that he would not entertain any offer above £25m despite the player handing in a formal transfer request at the club.
It’s a blow for Levy, who thought his latest offer of £21m would be enough to bring Berahino to White Hart Lane, and even more concerning for boss Pochettino who continues to have just one striker in his first-team squad.
The Argentinian will find comfort, however, in the fact that the signing of Bayer Leverkusen attacker Son Heung-Min seems to be edging ever closer, and Clinton Njie is ready to make his debut after obtaining a work permit from France earlier this week.
