Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the arrival of Clinton Njie.
The 21-year-old joins from Lyon for a fee believed to be in the region of £12m, signing till 2020.
Mauricio Pochettino has been chasing Njie for weeks, and the French club’s president Jean-Michel Aulus said a deal was close earlier in the week
The deal was put in doubt as recently as yesterday, however, when Aulus said an unnamed Premier League team had entered the race.
Pochettino has finally got his man though, and will be pleased with the addition following the departure of Roberto Soldado to Villareal.
Njie made his debut for the Ligue One side in 2013 but racked just seven appearances in his first two seasons at the club.
He became a mainstay in the starting XI at Stade de Gerland last season, though, playing 37 times and scoring 7 goals as his side finished second.
The attacker has also been capped 11 times for Cameroon, scoring six goals.
