Tottenham Hotspur will finally seal a deal for West Brom striker Saido Berahino within the next 48 hours.
The Daily Express claim that Tony Pulis’ efforts to keep the England U21 attacker at The Hawthorns have failed and the player has his heart set on a move to White Hart Lane.
After a £30m clear-out this summer, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has money to spend and wants to put half of that towards the acquisition of Berahino, who scored 14 Premier League goals last season.
The Argentine wants to play the 21-year-old alongside compatriot Harry Kane, with fellow attackers Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor set to become the latest players out of the door in North London.
Spanish flop Soldado is rumoured to be close to a return to Spain with Europa League winners Sevilla, whilst Tim Sherwood wants to bring Emmanuel Adebayor to Aston Villa to plug the hole left by Christian Benteke.
