One In, One Out?

Thaigo Motta has recently admitted he could leave PSG this summer as he is frozen out of the squad.

According to Talk Sport, clubs including Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool have all declared interest in the player. The Italian midfielder has been at the French club for three years now and says his current motivation is low.

During an interview that appeared in the Daily Mail Motta said, “It’s not a question of money, but of motivation.”

Motta has made 85 appearances for PSG since joining in 2012, but does not feel he can give any more.

With Spurs hot on the midfielder’s trail and PSG being linked with Tottenham reject Benjamin Stambouli, a deal could be made, says Simon Johnson of the Evening Standard.

Stambouli is currently stalling his £5.5million move to Watford as PSG are set to make an offer that would see the midfielder return to his native of France.

Stambouli is believed to be the Parisian’s main target to replace Yohan Cabaye following his transfer to Premier League side, Crystal Palace.

PSG are also set to make a larger contract offer to the midfielder if Spurs are to accept a bid.

Stambouli will have to look at his two offers carefully as Watford can guarantee him first team football with a relegation battle, whereas PSG will offer a more rotational position in the squad, but with the promise of Champions League football.

PSG are also keen to get the midfielder’s signature as he would class as a home grown player. They are yet to make an official bid but Spurs are said to no accept anything below the £5.5million that Watford are prepared to pay.
