Thomas Frank’s reign at Tottenham will be remembered for all the wrong reasons, more so if they actually get relegated from the Premier League.
After his stellar stint with Brentford, the North London outfit got him on board to replace Ange Postecoglou, who was sacked despite winning the UEFA Europa League.
And things quickly began to go south for the Dane after a strong start, although injuries played a big role in Tottenham’s underwhelming run across all competitions.
He was sacked in February and hasn’t spoken about the club since, which has led to claims that he has a clause in his contract that prevents him from talking about the club.
And now, his agent has finally spoken to the Danish media to address those claims.
Frank relaxing after Tottenham exit
Frank oversaw just 10 wins from his 38 games in charge of Tottenham across all competitions as they were eliminated from the domestic cups before his departure.
Strangely, they fared quite well in the UEFA Champions League group phase to secure a place in the Round of 16 directly, before losing out to Atletico Madrid under Igor Tudor.

Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet report that it is common for Danish managers to speak to the media immediately after leaving a club, going on to describe Frank’s radio silence as ‘unusual’ on Wednesday.
When the same outlet approached his agent, Allan Bak, to ask if Frank had a clause in his Tottenham contract to avoid discussing the club, he gave a rather coy response.
“He is going to relax a bit and visit friends and family. Still a little too early for interviews.”
“He is enjoying himself with family and friends right now. Has decided to pull the plug and relax.”
Frank may have caused irreparable damage
Under the Dane, Tottenham’s brand of football was drab and defensive-minded, which went completely against the club’s ethos.
Postecoglou also suffered during his second season at the club domestically, but his teams always played front-footed, attacking football and managed to win the Europa League.
Frank’s arrival was seen as the perfect fit due to his stint with Brentford as he made them one of the most exciting teams in the Premier League.
However, at Tottenham, his stint was rather catastrophic, with the club currently embroiled in the relegation battle.
If they drop down to the Championship, the Dane will be remembered for a long time at Hotspur Way for all the wrong reasons as their dramatic fall from grace began under his leadership.
