Tottenham supports react to Christian Eriksen’s man of the match win

“Please stay” – A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans were pleased to see Christian Eriksen turn in a Man of the Match display in Spurs’ 3-1 win over Aston Villa.

Spurs were losing thanks to John McGinn’s first Premier League goal, but on 64 minutes Mauricio Pochettino introduced Eriksen – and the Dane changed the game completely.

It was from his cross that Tanguy Ndombele eventually blasted in the equaliser – and the 27-year-old’s also saw a free-kick brilliantly saved by Tom Heaton.

Eriksen supposedly turned down a move to Manchester United at the end of the transfer window – as he has his heart set on a move to Spain.

Of course, there is still time for him to leave Spurs – as the European transfer window does not close until the 2nd of September, but with performances like this many Spurs fans are desperate for Eriksen to stay.

These Tottenham fans were delighted with Eriksen’s impact on the game – and they showed their appreciation for the 27-year-old.
