Tottenham Hotspur are heading into their first top European semi-final since 1962.
Spurs host Ajax on Tuesday night to see if they can continue their success on the continent’s biggest stage. After a dramatic aggregate win over Manchester City in the last round, they will be hoping for a more straight forward tie against the energetic Dutch side.
However, that seems to be a difficult task, with Ajax dispatching both Real Madrid and Juventus with relative ease this season. Erik ten Hag’s players have enjoyed some astonishing, free-flowing football in the Champions League and seem to play with no fear against some of football’s giants.
With Kane, Winks and Aurier still injured, Heung-min Son suspended for the first leg, and after having suffered a loss to West Ham on Saturday, Spurs are not going into this semi-final in the best shape.
But their display against Manchester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will give Spurs faith of heading into the second leg of this tie with an advantage.
Here’s how we think they will line up on Tuesday.
