Tottenham Hotspur play host to relegated Huddersfield Town this weekend and are coming off the back of a massive win in the Champions League.
Having won both of their first two matches at the new stadium, Spurs will see the Terriers as the perfect opportunity to put together a good run of home form.
Huddersfield have lost their last five league matches and are now simply going through the motions until they drop back down into the Championship at the end of the season.
However, it may not all be plain sailing for Spurs, as Huddersfield now have nothing to play for. Season after season, we see a shock result from a team facing the drop against one of the Premier League’s big boys.
Only time will tell, but Tottenham’s remaining home games are vital for their Champions League hopes, and they will accept nothing but three points on Saturday.
Here’s how we think Spurs will line up against the Terriers:
GK: Hugo Lloris
The captain’s heroics between the sticks during the week will have been massive for his confidence. Lloris will, as usual, take his place in goal.
RWB: Kieran Trippier
Trippier has started to string a run of decent performances together in recent weeks and will no doubt be bombing up and down the right flank for Spurs.
CB: Toby Alderweireld
Despite constant rumours around his future at Tottenham, the Belgian has not let that affect his football. He’ll be one of the first names on the team sheet.
CB: Jan Vertonghen
Vertonghen’s partnership with Alderweireld has been vital for Spurs this season, and they’ll both be after clean sheets against Huddersfield.
CB: Davinson Sanchez
The Colombian hasn’t seen as much game time as he’d like recently, but this match could be his opportunity to impress Mauricio Pochettino.
LWB: Danny Rose
Despite the controversial handball decision given against him on Tuesday, Rose played very well and is likely to keep Ben Davies out of the side.
CM: Moussa Sissoko
Sissoko’s only league goal for Spurs came against Huddersfield last season, and he’ll be sure to start as his fine form continues.
CM: Harry Winks
Winks was excellent in the Champions League earlier this week and has more than earned a start for the match on Saturday.
CAM: Christian Eriksen
Eriksen seems to have found some form again and is aiming to end the season strong. He’ll be the one to unlock the door for Spurs.
ST: Lucas Moura
With both Harry Kane and DeleAlli picking up injuries, this could be a chance for Lucas Moura to replicate his form from the start of the season.
ST: Heung-min Son
Son has stepped up for his team this season whenever Harry Kane has been absent, and with it looking like he’ll miss the rest of the season, Son will be relied upon to grab the goals for Spurs.
