12:30pm struck and the first game of the Premier League weekend was underway, Tottenham were in need of a win today if they were to keep with the high flyers in the Top 4.
The first chance of the game came in the 4th minute, a dangerous ball whipped across the box by Danny Rose, directly into the path of Harry Kane who just knocked it wide for a goal kick.
Rose and Kane were both in the thick of it 3 minutes later, Rose dribbled the ball through the West Brom midfield, slots it into Kane who’s shot flies over the bar.
Well Tottenham were flying from the first minute of the match and they got there well deserved goal in 12th minute of the game and it was that man, Harry Kane. Christian Eriksen found the space and slotted through Kane once again, but this time, Kane gets his shot on target and it skims off to the inside of the post to see Tottenham go 1-0 up.
A huge chance was missed for Tottenham in the 24th minute, the ball whipped into the box by Walker, Kane then gets his head on it and it was a brilliant save by Ben Foster to get his body in the way keeping the score at 1-0.
The score wasn’t 1-0 for too long as just 1 minute after the missed chance, Spurs doubled their lead with a Gareth McAuley own-goal, deflecting off the West Brom player from a Christian Eriksen shot.
Tottenham had a goal disallowed 4 minutes later, Dele Alli went 1-on-1 with Ben Foster, he slots it home, only for the linesman to have his flag up on the far side.
The first half finished 2-0 Tottenham, West Brom needed to really step up their game if they wanted any chance of points out of this game.

The first 15 minutes of the second half saw a superb display from Ben Foster. Despite the West Brom goalkeeper already conceding 2 goals, he was certainly looking to be West Brom’s man of the match.
In the 64th minute, a worrying sign for Tottenham fans as Jan Vertonghan came off with a head injury, he was replaced by Ben Davies.
In the 76th minute, Tottenham sealed the win by going 3-0 up. Kyle Walker chased down Gareth McAuley who made a costly error, giving the ball to Walker who drilled a ball into the path of Kane who struck it on the half-volley. The 3 points were with Spurs.
Well in the 81st minute, Tottenham turned on the magic and it was ‘one of our own’ Harry Kane bagging his hattrick, linking up with Dele Alli who puts a sweet chip to to Kane to places it past Foster on the volley. Tottenham 4-0 West Brom.
