Player Ratings: Manchester United (H)

A mad six-minute spell at White Hart Lane saw Spurs rattle in three goals past a shell-shocked Manchester United and ensured that the Lilywhites claimed victory and moved within seven points of Leicester.

It took Spurs a while to get into the game, with the visitors enjoying the better of the opening stages in North London. However, Spurs eventually got into the game and should have been ahead in the 28th minute, when Lamela headed wide, despite it being easier to score.

After half-time, Anthony Martial had a fantastic chance to put Louis Van Gaal’s side in front, but Lloris made a great save to deny the United forward.

Then in the 70th minute, Alli finally put Spurs ahead when he cooly slotted past De Gea after receiving a pass from Eriksen. Alderweireld added the second four minutes later when he headed home from Lamela’s free kick, whilst Lamela himself got Tottenham’s third when he fired home after receiving a pass from Danny Rose.
