Betting Preview: Spurs vs Dortmund

Spurs are facing the impossible. A 3-0 loss to arguably the best squad left in the Europa League has left the North London club virtually out of the competition before the second-leg even kicks off, however, there is still some good bets to be found.

The bookies reflect this, with Spurs 33/1 to qualify and 14/5 just to win tonight’s game, whereas the visitors are 1/66 to qualify and 23/20 to win tonight’s game in the capital.

With Spurs need to go virtually all-out attack from the off and Tuchel’s men’s’ open and attractive style, goals may well be on the cards tonight as over 2.5 is 4/5 and over 3.5 a tempting 21/10. BTTS is 4/6 with Spurs BTTS a huge 6/1 and Dortmund BTTS 10/3.

With goals in mind, Marco Reus bagged a brace in Dortmund last week, he’s 17/2 to net another two or more and 11/2 to open the scoring.Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang broke the deadlock after half an hour in Germany, he’s 9/2 to net first and just 13/2 to net twice.

Spurs talisman Harry Kane has netted 17 times in his last 21 for Spurs, he’s 6/1 to score first and 11/1 to net at least two of Spurs three goals they need to tie Dortmund. Nacer Chadli has been in good form for Spurs this season and netted in the first-leg of the last round against Fiorentina. He’s 17/1 to score first.

Erik Lamela hasn’t scored since the second-leg rout against Fiorentina, he’s 12/1 to net first, as is set-piece specialist Christian Eriksen. Further afield, Dele Alli is 10/1 to open his Europa League account and net the first this evening, with Ryan Mason 22/1, who also netted in the 3-0 home victory over Fiorentina.

Toby Alderweireld netted against Villa and he’s 30/1 to open tonight’s scoring, with Eric Dier and Nabil Bentaleb 33/1.

Score/win doubles look like a good bet for this one, as Kane to score and Spurs to win is at 7/2 at Ladbrokes. Spurs haven’t lost a game that Chadli or Alli have scored in this season, a Chadli score/win double is at 5/1, with an Alli score/win double 4/1. You can get 6/1 on Spurs second top-scorer Erik Lamela scoring with Spurs earning a victory.

Dortmund are 18/1 to double their first-leg scoreline, with Spurs 50/1 to win 3-0 themselves, as they did against Fiorentina. A 1-1 draw is most popular at Oddschecker at 7/1, followed by Dortmund 1-0 at 17/2. Spurs enjoyed a comfortable 2-0 win over Villa on Sunday, they’re 20/1 to repeat that scoreline.

Spurs last home league win came via a 2-0 win over Swansea, that’s 12/1 to happen tonight, with 1-0 and 2-1 Spurs 12/1. Spurs most common home win this season has been 4-1 interestingly, if anyone fancies Spurs to run riot tonight that’s 80/1.

Pochettino’s men are 15/1 to come from behind to win, whereas they’re also 6/1 to win to nil and 4/1 to keep a clean sheet.

The first-leg saw 13 corners, over 12.5 once again is at 9/5 with over 11.5 6/5. Dortmund to be leading at half-time just like last week is 17/10, with Spurs a rather large 16/5 to go in ahead at the break. Spurs to have the most corners is 6/5 with the hosts to have over 6.5 corners 6/5 at William Hill.

Match specials include Kane to outscore Aubemayang at 3/1 with Paddypower, Alli to score from outside the box at sevens and Alderweireld 11/1 to score a header at any time. Spurs to score two or more in the first-half can also be found at 8/1 with Sky Bet.
