Spurs got their Premier League title charge back on track, as they beat a very poor Aston Villa team 2-0 at Villa Park.
Tottenham welcomed back Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Dele Alli who were rested for the midweek trip to Germany, as well as Harry Kane who started on the bench against Dortmund.
It was the latter two who proved to be the difference against Villa, as Alli delivered two assists whilst Kane bagged two goals against the Midlands side.
However, some players disappointed against bottom of the league Villa, including the likes of Erik Lamela, who was sloppy with his decision making throughout whilst Christian Eriksen failed to get into the game and was ineffectual throughout.
But a number of players did impress, including Harry Kane, who despite missing opportunities to score in the first half, worked hard and finished his two goals well.
