Spurs secured their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup, as a much-changed team beat Colchester 4-1 with goals coming from Nacer Chadli, Tom Carroll and a deflected strike from Eric Dier.
Spurs were the much better side and had numerous chances to take the lead and eventually did so in the 27th minute when Nacer Chadli fired past Keen.
The score would remain 1-0 until the 64th minute, as Spurs wasted chance after chance before Eric Dier’s deflected effort put Spurs 2-0 ahead.
Nacer Chadli then made it 3-0 before a Ben Davies own goal in the 80th minute gave the home side hope. However, Tom Carroll made it 4-1 after converting from Nacer Chadli’s cross to secure Tottenham’s place in the fifth round.
