Five Tottenham talking points: Southampton 0-2 Tottenham

Spurs travelled to the south coast and returned to north London with all three points, as Tottenham beat a poor Southampton side 2-0.

Mauricio Pochettino was given a tough reception as he returned to the ground of his former team and Southampton were looking for a first win in six previous outings against the visitors.

But first half goals from Harry Kane and Dele Alli were enough to subdue The Saints, despite their impressive start to the match.

The win means Spurs enter Christmas in fourth place, whilst Southampton stay 12th in the Premier League.
