Harry Kane: My goal drought is over

Harry Kane has insisted that his goal drought is over, after netting a hat-trick in the 5-1 demolition of Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.

Kane, who had only scored one goal in 13 appearances this season before the game at Bournemouth, was adamant that his lean spell in front of goal was over as Spurs look to push on up the table towards the top four.

Speaking to the BBC after the game, Kane said:

“You’re never going to just be on a high, you’re going to have ups and downs.”

“It’s about maintaining your focus, not getting too carried away and trying to stay patient. That’s what I’ve been doing.”

“I don’t think I’ve been doing that badly overall. Today the ball dropped for me nicely and I was able to put it in the back of the net.”

“We didn’t get off to the best start but we showed our character to get the equaliser early on and then we pushed on from there. We’re buzzing with the result.”
