Everton have completed the £4.5m deadline day signing of Aaron Lennon, it has been confirmed.
The winger had been surpless to requirements at White Hart Lane, and rejoins Roberto Martinez on a three-year deal after a loan spell at the Merseyside club last year.
He was brought to Goodison Park on the final day of last season’s winter transfer window, and went on to make 14 league appearances, scoring twice, before returning to North London this summer.
The 28-year-old has been in the capital for ten years, racking up 267 games in the white of Tottenham, but has failed to earn game time since the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino.
Before getting shipped out on loan last term, the former Leeds man made just seven appearances under the Argentinian, and has spent much of this season training with Spurs’ youth team.
Lennon will be hoping that the move revitalises his chances of getting in Roy Hodgson’s England squad for next summer’s European Championships, with his last cap coming in February 2013.
