Nathan Oduwa and Dominic Ball played the full game as Rangers thrashed Airdrieonians 5-0 in the Scottish League Cup.
Five different goalscorers struck to send Mark Warburton’s side through to Third Round, where they could face rivals Celtic.
Ball – playing at centre-back – was rarely tested against the League One side, whilst Oduwa was his flamboyant self, entertaining the 7,000-strong crowd with a plethora of skills.
The latter played a part in the side’s fourth goal, releasing a ball down the left to Lee Wallace who cut back to goalscorer Dean Shiels eight minutes from time.
Gers fan must now wait till Thursday lunchtime to find out who awaits in the next round, with mouths watering on both halves of Glasgow at the prospect of an Old Firm reunion.
Earlier on Tuesday, Grant Ward started for Rotherham United as they lost 2-1 to Premier League Norwich City in the Capital One Cup.
The midfielder played 76 minutes for The Millers, before being replaced by Paul Green.
