West Brom’s move for Federico Fazio has broken down.
The centre-back completed a medical at The Hawthorns this morning and was expected to seal a move, but the deal has stalled because of personal terms, reports BT Sport.
It is thought that a loan deal could yet be revived, but The Baggies are looking at other options before considering a temporary move for the Argentinian.
Hawthorns boss Tony Pulis was confident of signing the former Sevilla man earlier today, saying, “I think he will be a top signing for the club.”
The former Stoke boss added, “He wants to show that he can not only compete but do well in the Premier League and I think that ambition, drive and desire is what you need in your club.”
However it seems for now at least that Fazio will be staying put in North London, with the exact reasons as to why the deal has fallen through unknown for now.
