Milos Veljkovic’s loan deal to Leeds United has been put on hold.
The youngster had been in discussions with the Elland Road club, but the move has hit a snag with Spurs unhappy at the amount of first-team football on offer, according to the Yorkshire Post.
Leeds want to take the player on a one-month loan deal, but Mauricio Pochettino would prefer a move that keeps him at The Championship club till January.
The Whites’ boss Uwe Rosler is also refusing to guarantee Veljkovic regular first-team football, which Pochettino would regard as a necessity if he was to allow the Serbian a move away from White Hart Lane.
The player has already played in two Premier League games, and had temporary spells at Charlton Athletic and Middlesbrough last season.
Veljkovic did not have much success at either club, however, making just six appearances in total.
He enjoyed better times in the summer, appearing in every game as Serbia won the FIFA U20 World Cup.
