Chelsea have made an enquiry to Spurs over the availability of Danny Rose.
The Premier League champions remain short of options at left-back following the sale of Felipe Luis, and according to The Mirror, Jose Mourinho has told Daniel Levy to ‘name his price’.
Roman Abramovich is willing to part with £15m of his transfer kitty to seal the signature of the 25-year-old, and he remains confident of getting his man as Mauricio Pochettino has adequate cover in Ben Davies – who arrived at White Hart Lane for £9m last summer.
Rose was expected to lose his place in the starting eleven following the arrival of the Davies from Swansea City, but the former Leeds man went on to appear in 28 Premier League games last term.
He was also called-up to Roy Hodgson’s England squad for matches against Lithuania and Italy, but failed to earn his first senior cup.
It Chelsea are unable to convince Pochettino into selling Rose, it is thought he will turn his attention to Augsburg’s Abdul Baba Rahman.
