Tottenham fans react to news that Fernando Llorente is unlikely to return

“Always an option from the bench” – A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans are disappointed Fernando Llorente will not be returning to Spurs.

The 34-year-old was released at the end of last season but talk emerged that Spurs were preparing to bring the Spaniard back as cover for Harry Kane.

The move looks to have fallen through though because the former Swansea man was offered a deal on reduced wages.

Tottenham have not heard back and appear to have given up on bringing Llorente back to the club.

Llorente was on around £100,000 per week and Tottenham wanted to reduce this.

A lot of Spurs fans will always remember him for scoring a crucial goal in the Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City last season.

Many Tottenham supporters are disappointed Llorente will not be returning.

A lot of Spurs fans are pleading for the Spaniard to return as they think he can still offer them something.

Other Tottenham fans thank Llorente for his efforts, but they want to see Troy Parrott used as Kane’s backup.
