Harry Kane on course to be back against Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino says that Harry Kane could return to the Tottenham first-team for the North London derby at the Emirates Stadium on the 6th of November.

The 23 year-old has been out of action since he suffered an ankle injury in Tottenham’s 1-0 victory over Sunderland in late September, but Pochettino has said the forward is near a first-team return.

However, before the North London derby, Tottenham will play Bayern Leverkusen at Wembley on Wednesday.

Mauricio Pochettino, who was speaking at his weekly press conference in which he was asked about Harry Kane’s injury, he said: “Harry is not ready yet.”

“It’s difficult to know but we’ll see.  His evolution is great.  Maybe for Sunday, perhaps the Champions League.”

“Frustrated is a word we don’t use here.  Both [Harry Kane and Alderweireld] are positive.  Of course they want to be back playing quickly, not least because we push them hard in training. Injured players have it much tougher than the fit ones.”
