This weekends match between West Brom and Tottenham is the first time these two have met since the 1-1 draw that seemed to break Tottenham’s resolve last season. That heartbreak seems to have been forgotten though as Spurs have made a strong start to the season and currently sit in 2nd place and are the only unbeaten side in the league right now.
West Brom are in 9th place and their summer transfer business already looks justified with ex-Spur Nacer Chadli already showing why both sides bought him.
But league position is just one stat and there are plenty more to evaluate as we look forward to this weekends game. In this article we’re going to look at how the two defences match up. Each sides record home, away and overall. The two attacks will also be compared along with each sides current form and a number of other things.
So, let’s get started.
