Spurs moved within five points of Leicester City, after a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Stoke at the Britannia Stadium.
It was Harry Kane who got the ball rolling for Spurs, when in the ninth minute, he cut in from the left-hand side and curled his shot past a stranded Shay Given and put Spurs 1-0 up. Tottenham should have been two up before half-time, but Christian Eriksen could only fire against the crossbar when through on goal with only Shay Given.
As Stoke began to have more of the possession in the second-half, Spurs used it to their advantage and in the 67th minute, Spurs finally doubled their lead when Dele Alli finished off a swift counter-attacking move. He should have a third moments later, but after rounding Given, he could only fire against the base of the post despite having an open goal to aim at.

However, he didn’t have to dwell on his miss for too long, as Harry Kane put Spurs 3-0 up just four minutes after Alli had scored the second, with another Spurs counter-attack leading to Lamela sliding the ball across to Kane who slotted into an empty net.
Alli eventually got his second in the 81st minute, after he fired a volley past Given after a fantastic chipped cross from Christian Eriksen.
The result means that Spurs are firmly back in the title race, five points behind Leicester City, with only four games to go.
