Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise for his Spurs, as Spurs destroyed Manchester United within the space of six minutes to win 3-0.
Pochettino, who admitted that his team needed some luck to get back into the title race after last weekend’s draw at Anfield, would have been anxious to see his side take the lead after Leicester’s win against Sunderland earlier in the day put them 10 points ahead of his side.
Dele Alli finally put Spurs ahead in the 70th minute, before goals from Alderweireld in the 74th minute and Lamela in the 76th minute sealed the victory in front of the home fans at White Hart Lane.

Speaking to Spurs TV after the game, he said:
It was a fantastic performance and full credit to our players for the energy and character they showed,
It was difficult because at the beginning of the day Leicester won, United =were then stuck in the traffic (the game kicked off 30 minutes late) and that changed our habits. It was difficult from the beginning but in the second half we showed a very good performance and I feel proud of our players.

Pochettino also spoke about the six-minute spell when Spurs scored their three goals, saying:
It was a great moment for the crowd, and for us. A 3-0 win against United is fantastic. It’s been 15 years to feel a win like that against United.
He was also full of praise for Erik Lamela, after he bounced back from missing a golden opportunity to score in the first half, to then assist and score in the second half.
He worked really hard in training and the gift for him today was fantastic, he worked hard, played well and scored. It was a great day for him.
Tottenham’s next game is against Stoke next Monday, by which point Leicester could have re-established their 10 point lead at the top of the Premier League.
