After an impressive week for Spurs players on the international stage, they return to domestic duties on Saturday with a difficult trip to Liverpool.
Five players featured for England, three for Belgium, and the likes of Kevin Wimmer and Christian Eriksen also made appearances for their respective nations.
So a trip to Anfield is hardly the easiest of games for the squad to transition back into Premier League life but with the team’s excellent form going into the break, Mauricio Pochettino will fancy his side to come away with a result.
The first time the teams met this season was Jurgen Klopp’s first game in charge of the Merseyside club which ended up in a rather forgettable 0-0 draw.
Since then, Spurs and Liverpool have gone on two very different paths in the league with the North Londoners sitting 2nd whilst the Reds languish in 9th place.
However, Klopp’s side have hit a good run of form in recent weeks so a victory for the Lilywhites would represent a very good result indeed.
