Saturday’s victory at Selhurst Park was a classic Spurs performance with Jan Vertonghen’s own goal being cancelled out by strikes from Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Nacer Chadli to secure victory.
However the match will be mostly fondly remembered for Alli’s 84th minute wonder strike which put the Lilywhites into the lead.
The youngster controlled the ball, flicked it over his head before volleying low past Wayne Hennessey on the turn from 25-yards to score what will surely be a Goal of the Season contender.
It was not all plain sailing though for Mauricio Pochettino’s men and for 63 minutes, his side looked far from victory, coming up against a dogged Crystal Palace side who were a constant threat on the break.
