Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino says that his team feels like they dropped two points after the 1-1 draw with Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.
Former Spurs winger Aaron Lennon put the home side ahead against the run of play with a neat finish after he controlled a knockdown from Romelu Lukaku.
Dele Alli got the equaliser on the stroke of halftime after superbly controlling Toby Alderweireld’s long pass before finishing neatly.
Spurs also hit the woodwork twice in the first half, with Harry Kane and Ben Davies both unlucky not to score and on the balance of play, it’s fair to say the away team were the better of the two sides on the day. However, the game ended all square and Pochettino admitted he was disappointed to leave Merseyside without a victory.

He told the BBC:
It was a great game, very entertaining, but my feeling is I am pleased for the effort but at the same time the feeling is we dropped two points. The first half was one of the best 45 minutes we have played so far, but we were a bit unlucky that Everton scored.
However, the Argentinian was keen to praise the mentality of his side.
Our mentality is strong, we are ambitious. Goodison is a very tough place to come, Everton are a tough team. We need to feel proud. We always try and win the game, sometimes in football it is not possible.
