Spurs’ top 10 FIFA 16 players revealed

With the eagerly-anticipated launch of EA Sports’ FIFA 16 less than three weeks away, speculation is beginning to build about what to expect from the game’s latest title.

Not least on the lips of many a Spurs fan, is how well will Mauricio Pochettino’s men be rated this year?

Ashley Thornton-Jones has the answers, as he guides you though Spurs top ten rated players:

#10 – Kyle Walker (79 overall)

Despite some questionable form last year, the right-back creeps into the top ten with a very respectable score. His 90-rated pace remains his best attribute, whilst the former Sheffield United man also boosts an impressive shot power-rating of 86.

#9 – Nacer Chadli (79 overall)

Whilst failing to hit the high 80s/low 90s in any attribute, the Belgian remains incredible balanced across the board. He also boasts a 4-star weak foot rating, meaning he can be equally as good on either flank.

#8 – Erik Lamela (79 overall)

The Argentinian has failed to impress at White Hart Lane as of yet, but to the surprise of many, he remains as one of the club’s best-rated players. His 4-star skill moves will be useful, whilst his 87-rated dribbling will also be a handful to deal with.

#7 – Emmanuel Adebayor (79 overall)

Perhaps the most surprising score lies with the highly-rated Togo international. He boasts 4-star rated skill moves, and is also rated in the 80s for strength, heading and volleys to name a few. Inaccurate would be an understatement.

#6 – Michael Vorm (80 overall)

Another strange one here. The Dutch stopper played just three games last year, but somehow gets a rating increase for this year’s title. Ratings of 84 for reflexes and 83 for handling make him a very good back-up.

#5 – Moussa Dembele (80 overall)

Like his aforementioned compatriot, the Belgian remains very balanced in all his attributes, whilst not really exceeding in any area. His 86-rated strength and 85-rated dribbling are his best assets.

#4 – Toby Alderweireld (81 overall)

After an impressive start to his White Hart Lane career, the former Atletico man starts this year’s title with a good rating. His defensive attributes average at 83, and he also boasts an 86 shot power-rating.

#3 – Jan Vertonghen (82 overall)

His club and country defensive partner is rated even better, meaning Spurs will be tough to break down this year. Vertonghen, too, boasts an 86-shot power rating, and also performs well in the defensive and physical scoring, averaging 83 and 81 respectively.

#2 – Christian Eriksen (83 overall)

The Dane, unsurprisingly, makes Spurs’ top two this year. With 85-rated ball control, 85-rated vision and 87-rated free-kicks, he will be useful in almost any situation. He also boasts an 87-rated stamina, meaning he can be effective in all areas of the pitch without trouble.

#1 – Hugo Lloris (84 overall)

Much like in real life, the French skipper is Spurs’ main man on this year’s title. He’s actually had a rating decrease, but remains as one of the game’s top goalkeepers with 86-rated diving and 88-rated reflexes. It will be tough to get past him.
