# ‘Unbelievable’ – Roberto De Zerbi showers high praise on Tottenham attacker

**It was a rare happy outing for Tottenham at Stamford Bridge as they secured a commanding 2-0 win against Chelsea.**

An own goal from Mike Penders gave the away side the lead before Mathys Tel settled the contest with one of the goals of the season.

After receiving the ball on the left flank, the Frenchman wiggled his way past a handful of Chelsea defenders before unleashing an arrowed effort into the back of the net from just outside the box.

And Roberto De Zerbi feels he believes in Tel more than the player believes in himself.

## Roberto De Zerbi lauds Tottenham attacker Mathys Tel

“He has to push, to push, to push, to keep going, because he’s a talent,” said De Zerbi.

“He has to clean the last 30 metres, the last decision, the last pass, the shot. He has an unbelievable shot.

“I believe in Mathys, maybe more than he believes in himself. I think it’s a journey of this club.

“I think Tottenham is lucky, and me as a coach, I’m lucky, because we have a great group of players, as a quality, but also as people.

“I think the future of this club can be important if we keep this mentality, these behaviours.”

Tel’s talent is unquestionable, and with De Zerbi clearly rating him highly, he is at the right club to fulfill his potential.
