# Tottenham player wants to leave after interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona

**Tottenham Hotspur have endured a horrific start to the new Premier League season despite their spending spree in the summer transfer window.**

Roberto De Zerbi’s side are winless in the competition and currently occupy 19th place.

Most of their new signings are yet to kick into gear, while a handful of other important players are currently out injured.

And now, if reports from Spain are to be believed, their fortunes may be set to go from bad to worse.

## Pedro Porro wants to leave Tottenham

The right-back is reportedly worried about the club’s recent fortunes and believes he could lose his spot in the Spain squad if the Lilywhites continue to underwhelm.

An excerpt from the article reads: “Although he renewed his contract with Tottenham this summer until 2031, Pedro Porro wants to return to La Liga.

“Right now, Pedro Porro’s first choice is Barça, but, as Pacojó Delgado points out on SER radio, he doesn’t rule out a reverse Rodri scenario. “If Real Madrid comes calling, knowing that Trent Alexander-Arnold isn’t convincing at full-back, there might be an option,” he says.”

The aforementioned quotes and the linked article paint quite the picture, as it has essentially been confirmed that Porro wants to leave and that both Real Madrid and Barcelona want him.

Usually, the Spanish media tend to jump the gun or fabricate transfer rumours, so we need to take this with a pinch of salt.

However, if Tottenham’s fortunes don’t improve between now and the end of the season, no one would be surprised if Porro and other senior players signal their desire to move on to greener pastures.
