# ‘Risk’ – Steven Gerrard says Tottenham are currently making a massive mistake

**Tottenham have just three points from six Premier League games this season and are 19th in the standings.**

Roberto De Zerbi’s side haven’t fared quite as poorly as their position on the league table suggests.

However, it is a results business and they are yet to win a game in the competition, which is more than just a worrying sign.

Tottenham came from behind to salvage a deserved 1-1 draw vs Manchester United last weekend and immediately jetted off to Marbella for a mid-season training camp.

And Steven Gerrard feels that could be a grave mistake considering their position in the table currently.

## Steven Gerrard pinpoints Tottenham mistake

“I would say Marbella is brave just in terms of location and risk, because there are a lot of other places where you can go that are probably safer,” said Gerrard via The Overlap.

“Although the players nowadays are a different generation to us and the generation before.

“But as soon as you mentioned it, it just sprang to mind, and I just think of mid-season camps.

“I just think, be careful, be very careful, especially if you’re in a position like Spurs, when you’re down the bottom of the table.

“Be very careful. And Marbella to me, I just think risk.”

To be quite honest, Marbella has one of the best footballing facilities in Europe and a handful of teams have done this in recent seasons.

De Zerbi wants his squad to get to know each other better, and Tottenham will want to make their nine-day break in between games count, as such windows don’t usually arise during this part of the season.
