# ‘Knock’ – De Zerbi confirms triple Tottenham injury blow before Liverpool

**Tottenham and Liverpool are set to face off at Anfield in the second round of the Carabao Cup.**

Roberto De Zerbi’s side got their only win of the season in the third round of the competition vs Charlton Athletic as they brushed the Championship outfit aside 5-1.

This game, however, poses a different challenge as Liverpool are unbeaten under Andoni Iraola and are also playing at Anfield.

Speaking ahead of the game, the Tottenham boss confirmed that three key players will be unavailable tomorrow.

## Three Tottenham players ruled out vs Liverpool

“Kulusevski is not available. Pedro is still not available. Udogie, yes,” said De Zerbi in his pre-match press conference.

The Italian also confirmed that Sandro Tonali will not feature vs Liverpool after suffering a knock in training.

“There is no Sandro Tonali because he felt a knock.”

Tottenham won’t mind this too much as they are better off waiting for their key players to return fully fit as opposed to rushing them back for a Carabao Cup game.

Having Udogie back, however, is a big boost and the Italian will hope to get some minutes under his belt, although Andy Robertson is in line for a start against his former club.
