# ‘Team of strangers’ – Jamie Redknapp reveals Tottenham’s biggest weaknesses

**Tottenham Hotspur were downed 3-0 by Brentford in what was a hugely disappointing performance across the board.**

Roberto De Zerbi’s side were comfortably second best as the Bees ran them ragged at the Gtech Community Stadium.

A handful of new signings were named in the starting XI, so there was a lot of optimism and excitement ahead of kickoff.

However, all of that dissipated quickly as they fell flat away from home. And Jamie Redknapp feels the Lilywhites have a handful of problems to address before their next game.

## Jamie Redknapp makes grim Tottenham claim

“You’d say they were a team of strangers; they didn’t have that extra know-how of when Van Hecke and Senesi become a partnership,” said Redknapp via Sky Sports.

“They never really won enough duels. I never really liked the look of the team when I saw the XI. I don’t like Gallagher in the 10, I wondered where the creativity was going to be.

“The hope for Tottenham is that they won’t be the same side in six weeks. But there were so many disappointing factors.”

All in all, Tottenham didn’t really satisfy expectations in any department today.

We can cut them some slack as there were a bunch of new players who aren’t up to speed physically, so let’s hope De Zerbi course-corrects to get the boys back on track in midweek.
