# ‘Can’t believe it’ – Michael Bridge slams Tottenham duo for what they did vs Brentford

**It wasn’t a happy outing in the first half for Tottenham Hotspur vs Brentford as the home team currently lead 2-0.**

Goals from Keane Lewis-Potter and Vitaly Janelt gave Keith Andrews’s side a deserved lead at the Gtech Community Stadium as the Lilywhites produced a torrid display away from home.

Whatever can go wrong went wrong for Roberto De Zerbi’s side as they are left with a mountain to climb in the second half to get anything out of the game.

And while the first goal was a thing of beauty from Lewis-Potter, Janelt’s side was self-inflicted.

## Michael Bridge slams Tottenham trio

Moments before the second goal, Antonin Kinsky’s goalkick wasn’t his best of the day as it somehow found its way to Richarlison.

The Brazilian then controlled the ball and sold Lucas Bergvall short with a pass, who then made a half-hearted effort to win it back seconds before Brentford’s second.

And Bridge called out the Tottenham trio for their mistakes as the goal gave Brentford a lot of breathing space.

He said via the [BBC](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/live/clyx03e7y2lt): “What is Lucas Bergvall doing? He tries to roll the ball across when he is under pressure and then the space is there.”

“Antonin Kinsky palms it down, Vitaly Janelt steps forward, he can’t believe it and he just caresses it into that near post. Now it is an uphill task for this Spurs team.

“Brentford have looked so, so comfortable. Spurs have been a little bit flat, they need to get hold of the ball and have much more quality in possession.”

Tottenham have some really good players on the bench who can come on and make an impact, so it’s not all doom and gloom. But if they carry on playing as they did before the interval, they stand no chance of getting even a point from this game.
