# Tottenham get triple injury boost ahead of Premier League opener vs Brentford

**Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for a tricky clash against Brentford on the opening day of the 2026-27 Premier League season.**

Roberto De Zerbi showed his class towards the back end of last season as he spearheaded an injury-plagued squad to Premier League safety despite being doomed for the drop at one point.

The Italian has already signed six new players and a few more are expected to arrive before the transfer deadline.

However, ahead of the game against the Bees, he could have three players back in his squad.

## Maddison, Udogie and Solanke could return for Tottenham

Destiny Udogie and James Maddison were spotted in training today, which is a massive boost for the club.

They haven’t featured in pre-season so far but could be part of the matchday squad vs the Bees, according to Standard Sport.

An excerpt from their article reads: “Destiny Udogie is being managed carefully after a succession of muscular injuries last season, as is James Maddison, who is still working up fitness from an ACL injury suffered last summer.

“The pair, though, are pushing to be involved against Brentford.”

Dominic Solanke has also been spotted in full Tottenham training after reports of an injury, so De Zerbi will have a lot of options to choose from as he narrows down his starting XI for the season opener.
