# Tottenham transfer target agrees personal terms after €55m offer

**Tottenham Hotspur’s search for an attacker goes on as Roberto De Zerbi and co scour the market for reinforcements.**

Earlier today, we relayed claims on Read Tottenham that Ferran Torres is close to moving to PSG, with the Spanish international previously linked with a move to North London.

And now, it appears as if another one of their targets is on his way to another club, as reports from Germany confirm bad news on Tottenham’s pursuit of Said El Mala.

## Said El Mala close to Dortmund transfer

[El Mala was linked with Tottenham earlier in the summer](https://readtottenham.com/2026/08/09/tottenham-dealt-e50m-transfer-blow-due-to-jurgen-klopp-intervention/) and there were even talks that the two sides are willing to get a deal done, especially due to Koln’s interest in Mikey Moore.

However, Dortmund have stolen a march on his signature and are close to submitting an offer worth €55m to secure his signature.

Florian Plettenberg reports that El Mala has also agreed personal terms with the Bundesliga giants, indicating that he wants the move.

He wrote on X: “BREAKING | Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of submitting a €55m offer (50+5) for Said El Mala.

“Nothing has arrived at 1. FC Köln yet. El Mala has already agreed personal terms with #BVB and is now waiting for the final decision.”

The German international was never really an active target for Tottenham, by the looks of it. But it goes without saying that it’s frustrating to see other clubs sign attacking players while the Lilywhites continue to struggle in this regard.

With time running out, something’s got to give and things need to start happening soon.
