# ‘Deal done’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms €30m Tottenham target now set for medical

**Tottenham Hotspur’s search for an attacker is well documented and we’ve done everything we can to bring you all the latest coverage.**

Players such as Cody Gakpo, Ferran Torres, Savinho, and Eli Junior Kroupi have been heavily linked, and quite frankly, we’re just waiting for the time Spurs actually agree a deal with someone.

A lesser-known name in the form of [Fisnik Asllani was linked with Tottenham](https://readtottenham.com/2026/08/03/tottenham-transfer-news-asllani-chelsea-leipzig/) earlier in the summer as an alternative to Kroupi.

And now, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that he is set to move to RB Leipzig.

## Tottenham target Fisnik Asllani to join Leipzig

Leipzig are involved in one of the biggest sagas of the summer as Yan Diomande is set for a move to Real Madrid after also being in talks with Liverpool and PSG.

The Bundesliga side have identified Asslani as a player who can replace the Ivorian, which has come as a blow for Tottenham.

Earlier this month, [we relayed claims on Read Tottenham that Asslani received an offer from Leipzig](https://readtottenham.com/2026/08/03/tottenham-transfer-news-asllani-chelsea-leipzig/).

And now, Romano has confirmed that he will indeed join the club imminently.

“RB Leipzig complete signing before officially selling Yan Diomande: deal done for Fisnik Asllani as new striker for €30m package,” wrote Romano on X.

“Medical already booked as [@schfer\_g](https://x.com/schfer_g) reported. The plan, reported for several days: sign 2 or 3 players, get at least 1 done before giving the green light to Yan for the medical.”

Not the biggest loss in the world for the Lilywhites, but at that price, he could have been an inspired addition.
