# ‘Advancing’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms Tottenham transfer target will leave

**Tottenham Hotspur are yet to add fresh faces to their attack, which has been ravaged by injuries.**

The likes of Xavi Simons, Wilson Odobert, and Mohammed Kudus are still out, while Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison also continue to recover from their long-term injuries.

In a cruel turn of events, even [Tottenham-linked Eli Junior Kroupi](https://readtottenham.com/2026/07/28/tottenham-transfer-news-fabrizio-romano-eli-junior-kroupi-barcelona/) picked up an injury, which just sums up their state of affairs.

Roberto De Zerbi will sign a player or two to bolster his ranks up front, but as we head into the business end of the summer transfer window, they could even look at an emergency loan to have some reprieve.

## Tottenham target Franco Mastantuono in talks with Fiorentina

In late July, Argentine news outlet [Cronica](https://www.cronica.com.ar/depo/actualidad/sorpresa-en-europa-real-madrid-analiza-ceder-a-prestamo-a-franco-mastantuono-y-ya-tiene-varios-interesados/) reported that Tottenham were one of the clubs interested in signing Franco Mastantuono.

The youngster has struggled to hit the ground running in the Spanish capital and has slipped down the pecking order, as is the case with Endrick.

However, reports at the time confirmed that Real Madrid would only consider a loan move as they still have high hopes for the Argentine youngster.

And now, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Mastantuono is in talks to move to Fiorentina on a season-long loan deal.

“Franco Mastantuono will be the next one to leave Real Madrid on loan, with Fiorentina advancing in talks.

No deal has been agreed with the Serie A giants, but it looks like talks are headed in the right direction. Tottenham were credited with an interest, but if they really wanted the player, they’d have made a move for him by now.

Nevertheless, Mastantouno looks like another player the Lilywhites will not be signing this summer.
