# Tottenham transfer news as £26m attacker now wanted by RB Leipzig

**We have no idea who or how many players it will be, but Tottenham Hotspur will draft in some attacking reinforcements between now and the end of the summer transfer window.**

After Eli Junior Kroupi’s injury, Cody Gakpo has been linked with a move to N17, although Liverpool are reluctant to part with him.

Earlier this summer, [we wrote on Read Tottenham that Fisnik Asllani could emerge as an alternative to Junior Kroupi](https://readtottenham.com/2026/07/21/tottenham-transfer-news-kroupi-tresoldi-asslani/), with Spurs and Chelsea keeping tabs on him.

And now, it appears as if he could remain in the Bundesliga as RB Leipzig are plotting a move for him.

## Tottenham target Asllani wanted by Leipzig

Philipp Hinze of Sky Germany confirmed on his X account that Leipzig will look to sign Asllani regardless of what happens with Yan Diomande’s future.

“RB Leipzig’s preferred solution for the attack remains Fisnik Asllani. A potential transfer of the 23-year-old should be viewed independently of Yan Diomande’s possible departure.

“They play different positions and have completely different profiles. Separate deals.”

Tottenham have already spent big money this summer, so nabbing a bargain or two will do them a world of good.

[Asslani is valued at around £26m by Hoffenheim](https://readtottenham.com/2026/04/08/tottenham-and-chelsea-among-hottest-candidates-for-26m-bundesliga-striker/), which isn’t an outrageous fee considering he notched up 17 goal contributions in the Bundesliga last season.

The Kosovo international has admirers across Europe and Leipzig are ready to move for him, so if Tottenham want him, they need to make an offer immediately to avoid missing out.
