# “Love this guy” – These Spurs fans are delighted for Kyle Walker-Peters

“One of our own” – A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to [Kyle Walker-Peters’ interview](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/august/walker-peters-i-could-have-cried/) with the club.

The 22-year-old was speaking about the first game of the season against Aston Villa – and in particular, his [emotional reaction](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/august/walker-peters-i-could-have-cried/) to Harry Kane’s late goal to put the home side 2-1 up.

As jubilant teammates mobbed Kane, Walker-Peters slumped to the floor in [pure relief](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/august/walker-peters-i-could-have-cried/).

Villa had [frustrated Spurs](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/august/walker-peters-i-could-have-cried/) all afternoon and when they finally broke through the [lifelong](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/august/walker-peters-i-could-have-cried/) Tottenham fan could not [contain his emotion](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/august/walker-peters-i-could-have-cried/).

The England-Under 21 international has a chance to make the right-back spot his own with [Juan Foyth injured](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49186945) and [Serge Aurier](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/08/04/dele-alli-doubt-premier-league-opener-tottenham-lose-final-pre/) lacking match fitness.

Walker-Peters admitted that every single appearance he makes means the [world to him](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/august/walker-peters-i-could-have-cried/) and he just hopes to keep [Mauricio Pochettino’s favour](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/august/walker-peters-i-could-have-cried/).

Many Spurs fans love Walker-Peters and they are pleased he is now in the first-team side.
