# These Spurs fans can’t decide if Sissoko and Ndombele should play together

“Shouldn’t play together,” “The fabulous French” – A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans can’t decide if Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele is a good midfield partnership.

Spurs partnered their new [record signing](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48841318) with [Sissoko](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49215981) and [Harry Winks](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49215981) – and for [64 minutes](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49215981) they struggled to break down Aston Villa.

Mauricio Pochettino introduced Christian Eriksen – and the [game changed](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/tottenham-news-christian-eriksen-transfer-latest-vs-aston-villa-match-epl-a9052731.html).

Tottenham, however, have tweeted a picture of Sissoko and Ndombele – suggesting they could be a [good partnership](https://twitter.com/SpursOfficial/status/1160882371769634816).

Against Villa, though, they were[slow and ponderous](https://talksport.com/football/585943/aston-villa-tottenham-christian-eriksen-moussa-sissoko-problem/) – and surely these two will not partner each other in many of Tottenham’s games?

Pochettino [rates Winks](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/players/harry-winks-going-play-massive-16400536) – and he will probably use him as [much as possible](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/players/harry-winks-going-play-massive-16400536), so it is hard to see a French midfield partnership forming.

What is more likely is Ndombele will play [alongside Winks](https://talksport.com/football/568551/harry-winks-full-interview-tottenham-white-hart-lane-champions-league-final-mauricio-pochettino/) – with Sissoko moving to the bench.

A lot of Spurs fans, however, are split on whether they want to see more of Sissoko and Ndombele together.

Many Tottenham fans think that the French partnership could work – as they rate both Ndombele and Sissoko very highly.

Others want Winks to be partnered with Ndombele – and they want Sissoko to make do with a spot on the bench.
